Blue 32-Blue 32

I'm pretty sure that's how the saying goes "BLUE 32" right? Isn't that from a movie or something or have I totally lost my mind and made it up.  Anyhoo-I turned the whooping 3-2 last week and spent a lovely two days just south of my Chucktown.

Working where I do comes with some perks (not a lot, but a few) and one of them is rubbing elbows with some amazing General Managers at other luxury properties.  We all watch out for each other when we can and I decided to give my "BLUE 32" a try at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff and if you haven't been there yet, it should be on your bucket list.

I've been lucky in that I've been to a lot of great places (love those perks) but I will tell you that my heart fell in love with this place.  It is what I have always imagined the south was/is.  This place surprised me at every turn.   From the courteous security gate (take note Kiawah), to the drive down to the bluff, to the gracious staff, to  the amazing cottage and the breathtaking views, this place had me at HELLO.  (Yeah, pretty corny-I know, but I swear it did)

When you arrive at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff, your car is taken to its own vacation as you don't need a car to get around.  You are given two bikes at your cottage and have the option of a golf cart.  Chad and I were just happy with the bikes (A little exercise on vacation doesn't hurt right?)  We were escorted with our luggage after check in straight to our cottage via an extended golf cart.  Here is the amazing Cottage #3 that we stayed in.

Amazing screened porch that was the width of our cottage

My most favorite view-the "rivah"
We did arrive late, so we ordered room service and sat out on the back screened in porch.  The furniture was so comfortable that we fell asleep out there and didn't wake back up until about 2:45 am when we stumbled back into our room.

Part of our welcome amenity-again PERKS!  Love 'em

Bedroom at turn down

Everything was turning out to be so nice, just from walking in the door.  I could immediately feel myself relax which is something neither one of us has done in a really long time.  I knew it was going to be a good two days.

I'll share what we did on my birthday in my next post.  But in the meantime, log onto their website and book your vacation.   Trust me, you won't be sorry....
